Skip Hire Services
Road permits are required when placing your skip on council land, which includes footpaths and highways. In most cases permits are arranged by our suppliers who will provide the details, but in some areas local Councils require the customer to arrange the permit themselves.Skip hire permits are charged extra to the price quoted on this site for skip hire.
The type of waste you are looking to dispose of will affect the size of skip that you should select. Materials such as brick, rubble, soil or hardcore are classed as heavy weight and as a general rule skips larger than 8 yards are NOT suitable as when filled the lorries cannot lift them. Skips larger than 8 Yards are great for lighter bulky waste items.
Items Not To Put In The Skip
Gas bottles, Chemicals, Paints, Monitors, TV, Solvents, Liquids/ Oils, Food Waste, Batteries, Plasterboard, Tyres, Asbestos, Fuel Tanks, Pet waste, Fridges/Freezers. To dispose of any of these materials you need to contact your local council. They will be able to provide you with a contact who can dispose of anything hazardous or not accepted in your skip (i.e. food waste).
Our usual Skip hire period is 7 days. The price we will quote you includes 1 weeks hire. On occasion we can extend this upto 10 days depending on skip hire schedules. At the time of booking we can also book a collection date for our teams to remove your waste. Alternatively just give our team a call on 0345 565 1167 and we will organise a skip pickup.
